I'm still waiting for buy.com to cancel the order.

My local TRU got some in yesterday. My brother called me while he was working. He said that they weren't putting them out on the shelf, but selling them to the first 10 people that asked about them. So keep an eye on TRU I guess, and ask if they have any. :)

I picked one up at the Maplewood, MN Best Buy this morning. I got there at 7:45, and was 10th in line. The people who arrived behind me said that they were told the store had 30 systems, and the girl inside who took my ticket and brought me my Xbox 360 confirmed 30 systems. Had to sit through a 5-minute sales pitch for accessories, and the guy at the checkout gave me the hard sell on an extended warranty. I would've bought one, but the form they were pushing said it was only good for items costing $300 or less.

Me loves Best Buy.

Anyone know if Best Buy will get more in next week? I am hoping they are easier to get after the christmas craze is gone.

That's pretty shady of them, I'm sure everyone is calling their friends. Luckily they are in abudance enough at this point it doesn't matter. I'm still surprised TRU is alive, thought they were going bankrupt.

The Lansing BB siad they were expectiong 10 tonight to be for sale in the morning, but they guy was pretty much telling everyone who walked by the 360 area. I think they live for the line-up. He said they had people camped last night for the 4 they were selling today.

In other news, my bro-in-law is still #2 on the EBGames pre-order list, and now the guy there doesn't think he will be getting any this week.

Woo.... TJ is one of us... the 360 cult.. ;)

Ok mines has been in transit from Memphis Tennessee since 3:41 am today. I live in Detroit, MI. The ETA is tomorrow at 7pm. When should I expect it? Could this thing possibly be at my house tonight? (it takes about 8 hrs to go from TN to MI).

Buy an extended warranty from Microsoft. It's $60 for 2 years.

I wouldn't expect it until tomorrow.

To be honest most of the stores around here are being very strict about the employee policy of being off limits. I was told by one person that we did have some in stock only after bitching to him that I keep getting into the lines to late to get a system (last time missed it by two spots and that was being there 7 hours before the store opened).

I had to get a new employee that does not know me to ring me out as the seasoned ones would have knixed the deal for me. Did I break some rules? Yup... do I care? No way, no how...

Well so far, this thing is worth it! So happy with the big bundle purchase.

Mines is in at the FedEx dest sort facility about 30 min away from my house. Tomorrow cant come soon enuff :D

Wow I saw 5-6 people waiting out in 30 degree temps at the Best Buy in Richfield Minnesota tonight. Guess they are getting more in tomorrow morning.

Well I've come up empty but my friend lucked out and got a bundle from CC.com. He should have it tomorrow. He was able to get rid of everything in the bundle besides the extra controller. Will they take that back or not?

That's crazy. My brother and I got to the store at 7:30 and there were already 10 people in line. They had 8 systems. Some guy offered one kid $200 cash for his ticket but he refused! I think I would have taken it if I were him! I talked to him and he planned to eBay it anyway (his dad had bought one for $2000 off eBay)! He's crazy if he thinks he'll get more than that right now.

GM: I ordered some products from your store online and one of things I didn't want. Can I take it to your store with my reciept for a refund?

CC Girl: Yes

I intentionally omitted saying it was part of the 360 bundle but they still will probably take it back esp. if I fuss and say someone I talked to yesterday said I could.I was referring to the 64 MB Memory card as its the only thing I dont want.

I don't have any problems with that. As an ex-BB employee, I know that the company doesn't give a crap about any of its workers. The 'no 360 for employees' rule is ridiculous.

When there are people looking for them it's kind of frustrating when they don't even have a chance because employees are snatching them up to sell on eBay before they even hit the floor. If tjr2mental really did stand out in the cold for 7 hours then I have some sympathy, because I know how much it sucks to do that and come up short.

One of the perks of working in retail. :) (probably the only perk)

I do admit that while working at EB Games last winter I did buy one of the two remaining DS systems which I later sold on eBay. I only made $50 but when you're making $6 an hour that's nothing to scoff at!
