When are we going to get a good fighting game for the DS?
 

I went to Gamespot and they showed Dragon Ball Z: Supersonic Warriors 2 with a 6.9 and Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects with a 3.1.

Every other genre is being represented already in the DS, pretty much. Anyone heard any rumors of good games coming to the DS?

If there was a direct port of Soul Calibur 2 with Link, I'd get it in a second. Sigh :) Or even Tekken, or DOA.

I personally never thought fighting games made for good handheld titles, but I'd be interested to see what an innovative developer could do with the DS's two screens.

I don't think the hardware could handle a "direct port" of Soul Calibur 2 or even Soul Calibur 1.

I doubt it will ever get any. Even the PSP hasn't received any and that system would be great for one with the right demographic.

On a side note I thought Capcom VS SNK for the neogeo pocket was one of the best fighting games ever made.

I thought I saw Guilty Gear for DS in another thread. That game would be perfect for the DS I think, with the placement of the screens.

Yeah, Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers looks like it might be pretty good. It comes out next spring.
