Quake 2 on xBox 360

Boy Quake 2 really didn't age well did it? Were the characters always this short, I don't remember this game that way, but since it looks like it was done by ID, I would guess it's as close to the original as it can be.

I forgot about the game having Quake 2...where is it located on the disc? I didn't even notice it when I was playing through Quake 4. Finally finished Act 1, pretty fun, mindless FPS.

It's on the extra disk located in the white sleeve, let me warn you, it's a big dissappointment after finishing quake 4 to go back to this.

Oh yeah....the extra disc. I think I remember seeing it. I forgot about it. Thanks. I'll probably check it out for a minute, then get bored with it. I still have to finish Q4.

Yes it did not age well at all. I can remember playing that and thinking "wow, gaming will never get better than this!"

I liked Quake 2 but never understood why it was called that. It really has nothing to do with the great monsters and castles from Quake1

Does anyone remember, was it quake 2 that had the soundtrack by Trent Reznor of NIN or was that quake 1?

So, how long is Quake 4 about? Are Act1 and Act2 about equal lengths?

That was Quake.

Q2 had greart multi-player but the entire game is gray and brown. Once Unreal came out, people realized it was OK to have colors in an FPS.

Quake 2 had the better soundtrack, but I heard a rumor that the Xbox version had the soundtrack stripped?

All 3 acts are about the same length, it took me probably 12-15 hours to finishthe whole thing.

It doesn't really appear to have to much of a soundtrack to me, which was why I originally thought it may have had something to do with Trent and liscensing issues.

Nope. The excellent soundtrack by Sonic Mayhem is one of the best I ever heard. Its too bad they didn't want to pay royaltees for it.

WTF, I made it to the end of the first stage and unlocked an achievment in Quake 2, and I get 0 points for it. The least they could do is give out some points in this sucker since there really isn't alot going for it (ripped soundtrack, really dated graphics, etc).
