The reasons you want one seem very legit to me. I would definitely follow the above advice and get one just in case. I think it will work out in the end when she sees how much use you get out of it.

If you want one, get one.

Case closed.

Check your locacl CostCo. Apparently they were ringing up for $50 In-Store. They were that price online, but now sold out online....YMMV in-store from what it sounds.

Let us know if she gets you one for Xmas. I'm betting she does.

Nice to know that your bases are covered in any event.

My wife is at Costco right now. Just called her and told her. Thanks for the tip.

Update: The 281/1604 location is sold out as well. Darn it!

I won the battle... she said she'd get one for me, so I pulled the one I got from EBGames out and gave it to her. She wasn't surprised that I already had it... she figured as much (I'm so hard to shop for).

So, to end this story, my Micro is wrapped and under the tree.

Merry Christmas to me!

Geez, seems like a LOT of guys here already know what they're getting for Christmas from their significant others. Where's the fun in that? All I know is that I've got something coming (and that I've got to get something in return).

Isn't that what your left over copy of FF IV is for?

Yes, sort of... look at post #38.

Haven't had much time to play it today, but I already love it.

Played FF I for about a half hour. Level 4 baby!

... and it came in handy tonight. We had to take our 19-month-old son into the ER this evening and while I waited I played FFI. We were there for 6 hours (I played for about 2 of it).

Such a nifty little thing that micro is.
