Questions about PSP Internet Browser

How is the PSP browser? can it run java apps? any problem using yahoo mail? can you post to bulletin boards like dvdtalk?

The browser is decent, but works much better on sites with little to no images (as they hog a lot of the memory). The PSP only has 32MB of memory, so it gets filled fast when you have large images everywhere.

I have read some posts on DVDTalk, and its pretty quick. Typing is another issue because there is no keypad. If you text message on your phone, it shouldn't be much different (I imagine).

Overall, its pretty capable. Its nice to have around to surf the net when commercials are on.

And yes, it does support Java.

i was thinking of getting a pda type device to "surf" the web via wifi... do you think this might work in place?

A PDA would be a lot easier to type on due to its keyboard, but for just reading stuff, a PSP will serve you well.

From my understanding, it doesn't support Java -- but it does support JavaScript and cookies, so using it to check web mail works well.

Considering that stattracker only works in IE, I doubt it.
