I'm curious how badily scratched up the PSP screen has gotten for you guys after some long term use.... The open face design doesn't make much sense to me..

Not at all. I bought a screen protector before I even bought the PSP.

The front of my PSP had light scratches almost from day one. The front of a PSP is pretty much the same as the front of an iPod and it scratches very easily. Screen protectors are a must.

No screen protector(although I'm going to get one), and my PSP doesn't have a single mark on it.

Don't use the protective sleeve that's included with the PSP. I did for the first month and my screen ended up scratched...not bad though, just a lot of fine scratches all over the screen. I replaced it and then got a good screen protector from Brando Workshop and also picked up the Logitech case.

The sleeve works fine for me...and I have no scratches. Not even hairline ones.

not a single one and just put a screen protector on it last week. Of course, Ive had great luck with mine. No dead pixles and it was first from the first run. Too bad I havent found a decent game to play on it yet.

I haven't touched my PSP since April. Still has a scratch free screen.
