On anouther note, one day I will get a good drop... Seems that there are few honest people in pick up groups as I have yet to ever get anything in one. When a gun drops, I pass. Same with anything that is not needed. To bad there are alot of people who see a color and automaticly say that they needed the item. Example, a preist rolled on scarlet leggings when we were doing the scarlet monistery. I rolled as well, but I rolled a 4 I think. Sad thing is that noone other then me in the party had a problem with this. Hello, Warrior here.. wtf is a preist going to do with mail leggings? At this point if I party up with a pick up group and someone pulls this crap I leave the party... Even if it is not on somthing that I need. If they screwed him, what is going to stop them from screwing me when they get their chance. Argh... roll for need, roll for greed. Just do it when you are suppost to. My arguement is that epic world drops (BoE purple items) should be all be treated as need as anyone could use the 100-1,000g from selling it at the AH. Plus they are so rare that it is unlikely most people will come across more than 1 or 2 so why not give them the chance to roll? |
Blizzardcan go blow a goat I swear the amount of down time is getting really old

Besides you dont NEED something if you are only selling if for money

Spirit Tap is awesome for grinding. I'm pissed I just realized this at lvl 55 :(
|
Yes, spirit tap is the 1st skill i got at lv10. It gets better as you level. Almost no downtime as a shadow priest.
|
If someone will use an epic for an upgrade they should get it. Yeah, there are people out there that'll claim they "need" everything, and that sucks, but I'm not going to prevent someone from getting a legitimate upgrade for gold... Granted, if on of the new epic mounts in ZG drops, I'll have a hard time believing that people without an epic mount deserve it more... Hypocritical? Maybe, but they are so cool... :)
Spirit Tap is a great talent from 10-59, but Blackout is so incredibly good for pvp, and decent for pve as well, that it's worth respeccing at 60 unless you plan to grind a lot. |
Do you have a link about the new epic mounts in ZG?
|
Apparently there is a tiger and raptor one available from the respective bosses. The only link I have is a picture of someone riding the tiger one.
|
Wow, do you know if those are BoP or BoE?

Booyah, finally hit 60 last night on my mage yaaay

Ran through deadmines on friday with my warrior (34), my wife's priest (20) and a friend paladin alt (117 or 18). Later a 24 rogue guildie joined us. It was crazy the amount of greens dropping. they must have really tweeked the drop tables because about every 2nd or 3rd guy would drop a green. I ended up with 11 greens. There must have been like 40 green drops. Lots of crap like "seer's" something but that crap sells (people buying stuff for their alts?). i made like 3 or 4 gold from selling the items. Pretty good for an easy run. If you had the bag space and were level 50 you could easily solo it pretty fast and make a good amount of gold.
|
So I broke down last night, and signed back on to WoW. I gave away all my gold and stuff for my regular character, so I figured I'd start a new guy, this time as part of the horde. I was amazed at how fast I was able to level up, got to level 5 in about an hour. What are some good profession combos for an undead mage? I was thinking maybe tailoring/enchanting?
|
You'll be a poor bloke for a long time with tailoring/enchanting. Since you'll be disenchanting any green/blue items you get for enchanting materials, you won't get any money from selling those items early on. You start making money real late from enchanting by selling enchantments. Even then, it's hard to make money from enchanting. You can make a lot of money from enchanting by selling the disenchanted dust, essences, and shards. Enchanting can be profitable if you are patient. As far as tailoring, the only real moneymakers are mooncloth transmutes and bags. If you really want to make money via professions, I suggest taking up 2 gathering professions( ie mining, skinning, herbalism ) and selling the materials in the AH to feed the crafters.

Im a Warlock Tailor/Enchanter, not always broke but not rich either I mainly make money selling stuff that drops or Silk Cloth. I no longer disenchant any green/blue only those that will yeild regents i need
|
My roommate is a tailor/enchanter and I will highly recommend initially using a gathering profession with tailoring. Skinning is probably the easiest to accummulate stuff, but I don't know that it sells very well. You can make a lot of money off herbalism, but a lot of the lower herbs don't sell very well either. Once you get to a higher level I would suggest picking up enchanting as you could level it pretty fast and not have to worry about the level requirements. My roommate is a 225 enchanter and has yet to make a nickel off enchanthing itself (we use most of the disenchanted items) and a lot of the enchantments he has won't sell very well.

I find herbs/alchemy an awesome combo for making money.
potions are not permanent, so people are always buying up potions when they've used them up, plus the arcanite transmute is an easy 5-8G every 2 days. |
tailoring and enchanting is a good pair. The key is to use tailoring to gain points in enchanting. With linen, make lots of Brown Linen Robes (the first green item you can make) and disenchant them. Dont enchant anything til you stop gaining points from enchanting. Then with wool there is a easy green item you can make and disenchant. same for all clothes after that.
You basically use the cloth to gain points in tailoring then disenchant the item and use the parts to gain points in enchanting. it works out great. tailoring you dont start getting money from anything til you can make mooncloth. but with enchanting you can always sell shards and later on dusts (no one ever buys soul dust or stange dust on my server) |
Im up to using Vision Dusts, 214 Enchanter, my tailoring hasnt been upped in a long time due to me concentrating on Enchanting, hoping to have 160 Vision Dusts on Hand to go to Uldamaan
