The most interesting part, you can upgrade your Tier 0 set through solo or 5 man party quests. |

That doesn't appear to be what they are trying to do here. From the examples of gear provided and their set bonuses, this stuff seems at least as good or better than the Tier 1 sets (Prophecy, Might, etc.).
You are always replacing old gear with better stuff though. That's progression. I don't really have a problem with it. There will always be bigger and better stuff out there... |

I think it works out because if you got something better than Tier 0 then the new armor probably would be just as good or a little better. In that case the only reason you would want to upgrade it is for collecting purposes or if you wanted the set bonus.

But if you look at the set bonuses, a lot of them are better than the comparable Tier 1 set bonuses.

I'm still going to try and get more Magisters gear even though i have stuff from dire maul thats better. I havent run strat/scholo/ubrs a million times yet so i still find it fun.
I just got in to a guild that has a good number of 60s so i can actually get into guild raids for these places and not worry about ninja looters. hopefully i'll be running strat-baron side tonight since my wife has never seen it (she's in the guild as well). Guild run last night had the magisters pants drop and i missed it. |

You will be able to run UD Strat in about an hour with a 7+ raid and scholo in 1 1/2 hours as opposed to the crap you get with PUGs. |

So are most of you still playing on Cenarius? Other than Kennyboy I don't think I have bumped into anyone in a long time. I just finally hit 54 and I think I may actually hit 60 eventually. I spent so much time at lower levels I feel like a noob again now that I am back in new areas.

I was playing earlier in Ashenvale and started to get a bit of what I'd call a clipping issue when I turned. My FPS were alsways at least 60-70 with full graphics. Today it dropped as low as 1.7, and the ground became all blue, stuff started falling from the sky, it was really bad.
I flew to Crossroads to see if it was just an Ashenvale thing, and it was even worse there. Does this mean my video card is crapping out? I have a 6600GT PCI-E card and a Athlon 64 3000+ cpu with a gig of RAM. |
Well, finally took the plunge and hopped into the WoW. Though my Mac Mini is chugging along like a trooper, I've got a new mid-range graphics card and a bunch of RAM coming for my old PC to enhance the experience.
So far I'm enjoying it, and I can see how it is addictive. But the nice thing is that I can really go at my own pace so I think I'll be able to handle it. The character I'm using now is a level 12 Undead Warlock on Skyfall - Draaven. |
I updated my video card driver, and the problem went away. Weird since it was less then a month out of date, and I never had the problem before.
|
I played WoW for a month when it first came out and then quit and I've just started playing again. I had DSL Lite then but now I have a cable connection. What I don't understand is why I can have a sub 100ms latency and it still lags. Anyway, I like it and I can live with a little lag. Right now my only char is a lvl22 Tauren Shammy on the Azgalor realm. I joined an awesome guild and they're really helping me out.

unusual question. im pretty sure of the answer already, but what the hey..........
i installed WOW at my parents house as well as my own (sometimes you need somethin to do while the grandkids visit) anyway, i cannot play simultaniously on both pc's could i? say my brother on one and me on the other. i wouldnt think my account would allow this, but itd be damn cool if it were so |
No you cannot do that, you would need two copies of the game and two seperate accounts. Some people actually do this however and play two characters simultaneously, a practice commonly known as dualboxing or twoboxing.

On a side frustrating note, I see that the game went on sale two weeks after I bought it. Typical... |
I am trying to find a mod I had before, and can't remember the name of it. It was one that alerted you to what new spells you could learn and items you could make when you leveled. Like it'd say all the normal level stuff, and then something like "You can now learn ___________ from the trainer" or something.
Anyone know what I am talking about? |
