Since I've decided to pass on the 360, I've been waiting for more info on the PS3 and Revolution. I though the PS3 controller was a bit wonky withthe whole batarang look, but wow, that Nintendo controller looks terrible. I'm big into FPS games and don't see how you could really control them very well with that.. Those buttons are too far apart to be practical.

But, it could prove to be really great. Looks like I'll be skipping all the launches, which would be a first for me. I'll wildefinately have to try before I buy for this gen.

The analog stick attachment pretty much guarantees that more unique attachments would be available in the future. They can even make attachments that mimic Nintendo's other controllers. It's a good design.

That controller is interesting to say the least. Playing 3D FPS in mid-air seems like a novel idea for the first hour, until your arm gets sore from keeping it above waist level that long.

I was not a believer in the DS until Nintendogs/Advance Wars came out (close to a year after launch). If I hear more about playing ported games, it may push me to buy one sooner than the first price drop.

I agree, your arms will get tired really quick holding them up to play games. Maybe all the games will be mini games or maybe you can adjust the sensitivity so that you can still play while holding the controller in your lap.

All I can say is that Nintendo better have a huuuuuugggge amount of software resources to dedicate to this since I can't see many 3rd party multi-platforms coming to the revolution seeing as it's so different. Still looks interesting I guess.

That's not the way you're supposed to do it. If you read one of the articles, you'll see the guy who tried out Metroid Prime made the same mistake. He said once he put his arms down and rested them on his lap, then it worked much better.

I agree with that. However, what makes this controller "revolutionary" is the ability to not have to set it on your lap. Playing it in mid-air might be a selling point to the controller, and something that I would like to do. Is Iwata going to explain to everyone the "correct" way to hold and use the controller? Not going to happen.

I am still going to get the Revolution. Portability of their older games, launch date, and launch price will determine when I will get it.

PS3: Gradius VI

Of course.. following V is going to be one HELL of a task.

Capcom has put up a nifty webpage with videos of all their latest games in one place.

Rockman Rockman looks really great in motion.

Ghouls n' Ghosts is looking good too (the 'climb up from a ledge' animation seems like it needs so work, though).

But for me, Okami steals the show. It looks absolutely breathtaking. It also really really reminds me of Wind Waker. I wonder how many hypocrites who bashed the WW art style will come out and praise Okami for it's 'artistic vision'...

As they shouldn't. The reality is it works in a variety of ways, that is in part why its "revolutionary". Choose your posion I'd say. You want to stand up and play, go ahead, you want relax and sit? You can do that too.

Rockman did look pretty cool. I'd love a traditional sort of platformer on the PSP (Hey, calling Captain Quark!).
Rockman was easy to figure out. Which of those icons on Capcom's page is Okami?

It's the wolf face. Top row, just right of the screen.
