Battlefield 2_ Which gun should i Unlock?
 

I am about to become Corporal and i already unlocked the Medic gun. Which gun should i get next?

Which gun did you unlock first?

I unlocked the G-36 for Spec Ops. The Spec Op carbines were pretty decent guns to begin with but this one is even better. At close range you have the accuracy and firepower (you simply hit with more of your bullets while firing bursts) to take down anyone, and at long range you can duel a sniper or L85 medic successfully. It is in my opinion the most flexible small arm in the game.

how much play does it take to unlock the guns?

Did anyone unlock the Anti Tank gun? if so, is it that powerful?

If you want to try them al out go to gamecopyworld.com and you can get it so you can open them all up in single player. I did the G36 and am almost at Cpl. and will do the G3 next. Sniper rifle unlock sucks, medic is good but I never play that class. The streetswerrper is cool but reload is SLOW.

I played Medic for the first 70 or so hours then switched over to Engineer.

I unlocked in this order:

Medic: L85A1 Good weapon. I do pretty well with it.

Spec-Ops: G36C very good weapon. Just not playing as much of this kit as I thought I would.

Engineer: Jackhammer baby! Love this gun. Not great with long range...but up close very lethal.


I'm at 40K global and its slow going. I'm an Admin on a popular gameserver and we just switched hosts...so I'm not able to play as much as I'd like.


The DAO-12 or Anti Tank unlock is a great unlock. Very lethal up close. One of the best bang for your buck unlocks. I just never play this class.

I'd go for the anti-tank gun. On many maps, tanks and vehicles are everywhere and unless you have a vehicle of your own, you're screwed. The sub-machine gun that comes with anti-tank originally is shitty beyond reason. I'd rather have a pistol. The new gun is a full auto shotgun. The range sucks but at close range you can pretty much clean up.

Agreed on that Hazuki. If I used that kit at all...I'd unlock it...just don't like it much. Just my opinion on the kit..not the gun! The DAO 12 is awesome up close. You'll rarely lose a CQC match.

If anyone ever wants on a good BF2 server just let me know via email. My groups server, 54 player ranked, stays full near 24/7 and is ranked currently at 17 on ServerSpy.net. We have a TeamSpeak server also. Just let me know via email on here and I'll get you the info. We have a blast!

Forgive me for my regressions though...I'm a tank whore... :( Currently ranked #350 for Engineer and #650 or so global as armor user.

Wow. This new patch gave me two promotions, which means I get to unlock two new guns (already had two unlocked, I think). I guess that's pretty cool.

I got 3 promotions and 3 unlocks.

They've added officer ranks too, apparently. 2nd Lt at like 100K or something.

Only thing I don't have unlocked is the G3.

Love the new map too...Wake Island 2007. Very well done...although its a flyers map.

Yeah, I played right after and got another promotion.

I have everything unlocked besides the engineer unlock (a class I play only to armor whore) and the medic unlock (I prefer to get up close, so the AK101 is great close quarters, IMO).

We're running a 54 Ranked server right now. We are by invitation only as we, as a group, like to see play style and demeanor. We don't normally invite after a few days or a week...but months is not normal either. Just takes a few weeks, maybe a month to get an invite.


We have a public TeamSpeak also. Get involved on TS, Join up on the forums, introduce yourself, and just play... :)

Our server is at 64.34.172.182 default port.


We've got some basic server rules...but the one some people don't like is that we allow basecamping anytime, anywhere. Some like that rule...some don't.

Takes a few hours for EA to update. Log out of the game and log back in.

If you get promoted...and stay in the game (meaning its loaded and running)...you won't get the unlocks.

You have to stop the game and come back (and hopefully EA's updated). Mine took about 30-45 minutes after my promotions.
