Morrowind PC help

My husband plays Morrowing on XBox but now wants to play on the computer. The problem he is having is that the game will not let him play with a game controller, only with a mouse & keyboard. The computer recognizes
the controller but the game does not :( Any help would sure be appreciated, as I can not seem to figure this one out.

Thanks

If there is no in-game controller support, you can check out a program called JoyToKey (just do a google search). Lets you map keyboard commands to joystick buttons. Works great.

The game has 'enable joystick' but when you click on it it says joystick not found.

I also went to JoyToKey but the page says:
Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /authors/VA016823/joytokey/english.html on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Here I thought this was going to be an easy project for today.

Have you patched the program up to the latest version? I know the initial version of the game was pretty buggy.

Use this one and download it from the first post in the thread:

Groucho: Downloaded patches, Thanks!

Jeraden: Thanks for the new link. Downloaded and will wait for hubby to get home and see how things work.

Thanks everyone for all the help. I hope this will solve the problems.
