Xbox Questions (Best Value, Refurbished or New?)
Greetings.
A friend is getting married and moving out. One of his wedding presents is an Xbox with Xbox Live subscription and Halo 2.
I was wondering what might be the best value for this. Are there "Halo 2" starter kits? Halo 2 seems to be about $40 nowadays.
Now the Xbox, by any definition, is near the end of its lifecycle since it will probably only be around another year or so. Should I be looking at buying a refurbished one? I have no interest in getting a used one or a modded one, but refurbished would be acceptable.
Any ideas on where to look? Any suggestions?

I've just decided I'm going to break down and buy one, too. I've looked at ebgames and gamestop for refurbished systems, they seem to run about $129. at gamestop that includes a 60 day warranty, which isn't much. you can pay an extra $10 and get a year warranty on it. for that price, i think you're better off just buying a new one for $149. that's what i plan to do anyway.
