I understand your pain. Is it just me or are the booth babes just a bit HOTTER this year than in the past. I can't complain.

discostu1337 05-20-05 07:48 AM

The Porsche is at the Gizmondo booth. Gizmondo is a portable hand held with a built in camera. It's this year's Phantom :p

DJ_Longfellow 05-20-05 12:49 PM

Josh H 05-20-05 01:57 PM

OK, thanks.

I'm still working on unlocking this bad boy in Forza Motorsport (Xbox).

It won't let me upload because the files are too big.

I love that Gizmondo makes fun of N-Gage (because the N-Gage booth is like a ghost town), but if Gizmondo wasn't the booth with the most booth babes and the Porsche and the free cd's and shit, they'd be just as pathetic.

How big is each photo?
You might want to shrink them so that not so huge, not everyone want's to download 26 Megs (56Kers) of pics.
If you can't shrink them, email me a couple, and I'll shrink a couple for you.

Hmmm.... Thanks for those pics, that 360 area dont seem blocked off to me. Can anyone comfirm or deny reports that average E3er, those without press badge or deemed important could not see much of show? There few threads out there in cyberspace of complaints that 360 was blocked off unless you were higher up press and zelda had 4 hour wait!! Yikes and I was thinking of attenting 06 one but if it changed that much since 95-98 ones I best now know and not bother try get back in, wasting a trip.

discostu1337 05-21-05 07:22 PM

zelda was a long wait....but I played a few 360 games both days with ease. I played some Top Spin matches, watched some Call of Duty 2, and raced a bunch of Need For Speed drag races. I think this year was better than last year as far as playability of games. Aside from PS3, Rockstar games, and Tony Hawk America's Wasteland, I played every other game I could imagine.

fumanstan 05-21-05 08:29 PM

The Xbox 360 was out there and displayed in a case, from what i saw. From what i heard, they didn't have actual 360's playable, but the games there were using simulated Mac systems that were like 1/3 of the 360's actual power. I did get to try the controller and play a little Top Spin as well.

The Nintendo line on Wednesday was incredibly long, so a 2+ hour wait wouldn't surprise me.

So how did the controller feel in your hands? Also, I've read in this forum that there are actually two shoulder/trigger buttons per side but I could never see that in the pictures released so far. What does it look like on the back of the controller?

Yes, there are. Basically, the black and white buttons were moved to the top of the controller so there are 2 on each side now. It's difficult to see in pictures because from what i remember they're at different heights on the controller, and not level. So one on each side feel more like just standard buttons, and the other two are placed a bit lower and were more like "trigger" buttons with a slight groove on them. The controller felt great to me, and better then the current Xbox controller S. I've never been a big fan of the PS2 Dual Shock, so it was the best controller i've held on to on any console. They were also wired there, and not wireless, however the fellow there demonstrating Top Spin said it was just because they were new still. And i suppose it would make sense in case someone tried to walk off with one :p I'm not really sure how to describe the back of the controller, and i don't really remember that well :(
