Wrestling games (this gen) that use the old N64 WCW Revenge controls?
I haven't really kept up with the wrestling games this gen to know or not. i seem to love this control scheme that AKI and THQ used on their wrestling games on the N64. Do any wrestling games this gen use this scheme?

These types of threads always bring a tear to my eye, because these over complicated fancy wwe wrestling games seem like they will never achieve the perfection that was the N64 games. Wrestlemania 19 for the Gamecube tried to do it, but it just didn't feel right. Def Jam was pretty good, don't know how good the second one was though.
that simple control scheme, the static camera (I can't do the Smackdown games as they make me dizzy), create a wrestler....mmmm so good.

I'm not a wrestling fan, but a bunch of friends were at the time of WCW. So I played numerous wrestling games with them and I have to agree those two games were top notch control and camera wise.

Def Jam Vendetta is the exact same control scheme except brought to the PS2. I can't remember how Fight for NY was set up (I only got to play it for an hour) but I think I do remember it being different.
