Anybody pick up Area 51??

This was a game when I first played the demo from OXM -- I didn't like it. Then this week since I saw that the game was coming out...I popped the demo back in --- and I liked it. Weird I know. I haven't played it much yet...but my impressions so far are pretty good. Graphics are top notch...the lighting could use a little more work when you compare to Doom 3 or Riddick. This game is basically balls to the wall action....so if you are looking for something tactical -- look somewhere else. I will post more impressions once I get further into the game...I am only about 1.5 hours in right now. Did anyone else pick this one up??

I havent seen the demo, but is this a rehash of the old arcade? Does it do light gun suppport? I think I may be into it if it is like the old arcade shooter.

It's a FPS, pretty much nothing like the old Area 51 arcade lightgun games.

1UP review: Bungie called, they want their game back

its a scifi, action, small pinch of horror FPS. It doesn't feel very similar to halo...I guess you can call it similar since it has aliens and is a FPS. It's cool though. But I am a little biased since I am a BIG FPS fan.

Well I posted my first impressions of the game....now I will post my final impressions. I finished the game yesterday....I will say it took me around 12 hours. I really enjoyed the game -- I give it a solid 8.5/10. Graphics are very good....5.1 audio is some of the best I have heard. The story is pretty cool, but it can be hard to follow at times -- kind of like Halo 2's story was. Duchovney(sp.?) is kind of bland and doesn't show much emotion in his "performance", but it is not as bad as everyone says. I liked Marilyn Manson as Edgar -- he was a good choice for the role. This is a very action-packed game, there is not much room to breath -- there is almost constant action. So some people might be turned off by this...you don't do any stealth stuff a la Riddick -- you just shoot all the time and try to stay alive.
The difficulty level of they game is moderate up until the last 3 levels....then the difficulty shoots through the roof --- there are some very challenging parts that will have you cussing up a storm. All in All I thought it was a great game, I will definitely play through it again.

I haven't read much on this game.
Is there a multiplayer option with bots?

Thanks.
I might consider this after it's first price drop.

I was considering renting this or Time Splitters. Both were pretty fun in the arcade......not that that means much now.

I don't think this game was intended to be like the arcade game of the same name.
