Okay guys, I'm really fired up about Forza Motorsport, probably the last great game for Xbox Live that we're going to see. If you haven't been following it, they are using many of the same ideas that made Halo 2 great on Xbox Live in Forza, such as the matchmade game system using gamer levels and instead of a clan, a car club.

Obviously, this sounds like THE racing game to play on-line, with real-time damage control, the car club, and the ranking system.

I will be creating an official DVD Talk Forza Car Club as soon as I can get my hands on the game (next Tuesday or Wednesday).

Please keep all posts relating to the game here. If you would like to be added to the car club, go ahead and post your gamertag and I will start a list.

Also, has anybody heard anything about the new force feedback wheel for the game? It's $150, but it looks sweet!

I'll be out of town next week, along with taking finals. As soon as I'm through on Friday I'll be picking it up and restarting my Live account that I let die a month ago.

Wow, I really thought more people would be picking this up. We might have to see if CAG is starting a club, or some other bigger board (GeezerGamers, maybe?).

I'm kind of hoping the interest for the game isn't very high. I liked getting on XBOX Live when I was playing PGR2, because you could meet random people who were fun to play with. When Halo 2 came out, every jackass in the country signed up to XBOX Live and the experience became a lot worse.

I'm hoping that Forza will have a Live community more like before Halo 2 came out, meaning let everybody else keep playing there new maps on Halo 2 while we have some fun with Forza. Hopefully there will be an upswing in DVD Talk members who are interested once the game comes out, though.

Yeah, fewer people is not a bad thing at all. It would be nice if we could get around 25 or so, though, just so we have enough people to race.
