As for voice support, broadband and online gaming is central to the Xbox, unlike the GC which hardly uses the network adapter accessory. Xbox Live is going to be an even bigger part of Xbox Next (or whatever its final name will be), so I don't think wireless standard controllers are a good idea for it unless they include voice capability (while maintaining the other requirements I listed, of course). Of course, the same won't necessarily hold true for Nintendo's offering, which will probably still be targeted at a different market than the Xbox.

I agree. I hated rumble from day one (Rumble Pack with Star Fox 64).
A vibrating piece of plastic in my hands just reminds me that I'm playing a game and kills the immersion for me. |

Yeah rumble blows, lose it. Admittedly the dualshock2 isn't as bad as the n64 days because its a bit more subtle, but the only time i would ever elect to use it was if its required for some game mechanic (like in OOT).
Of course it's a different case if u have a full steering wheel set up for a driving game. |
