January Game of the Month nominations...

Ok, while extremely bored at work, I was thinking that every month we'd have a poll for Game of the Month.

To be fair, we'll take nominations for about a week or until we get ten... I'm not sure. You guys help me out with the details. I just think it would be fun and interesting to see what everyone likes here.

So, here we go... my nomination for January goes to, (drum roll, please), Resident Evil 4!

Whoo, that was a tough call.

I would have to nominate NBA Street Volume 3.

Goldberg74 02-26-05 12:00 PM

Hands down...

The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap

RVP 02-26-05 12:00 PM

Do we need a game of the month thread?

Gallant Pig 02-26-05 12:07 PM

Sure why not?

Blotto 02-26-05 12:20 PM

Resident Evil 4, with Mercenaries in second place.

SteelgearX 02-26-05 12:35 PM

Street V3 isn't exactly a January release but since we're a month behind anyways, this first poll can be Jan/Feb Game of the Month.

BTW, Street V3 is a pretty awesome game, although I'm not too fond of the new gamebreakers.

RE 4 has a good chance of being game of the year, just finished it last night.

tpc 02-26-05 01:02 PM

Street v3 is awesome... but you're right. I'll pull out the nomination. I'd have to second RE4

darkside 02-26-05 01:06 PM

RE4. There is really no competition in my mind.

nickdawgy 02-26-05 01:35 PM

RE4

CreatureX 02-26-05 02:11 PM

Resident Evil 4

MrKen 02-26-05 02:26 PM

Minish Cap, Mercenaries, then RE4.

Do we need someone questioning a need for a thread?

RE4 all the way. I bought a Gamecube a week ago just for RE4 and it's was worth it.

btw this should have been a poll.

I'm sorry I just thought it would be confusing, can we have a poll next time at least. I have a hard time rembering when which game came out. A poll would clear that up.

Third Baseman 02-26-05 02:56 PM

I agree on a poll. ;)

jediwicz 02-26-05 04:08 PM

Another nod for RE 4.

SteelgearX 02-26-05 04:10 PM

Well, last time I did the Game of the Year poll people complained because I forgot to include PC games. Some said that maybe if we nominated and then polled it would have been better. Please make up your minds. -confused- I also don't know every single game that came out in Jan.

Anyhow this is just for fun, so let's get more than just RE4 and Street V3 or this one's gonna be over quickly.

asianxcore 02-26-05 04:10 PM

Resident Evil 4.

Outlaw 02-26-05 04:45 PM

It was game month for 2005 in my book, I'm not sure anything will top Resident Evil 4 even for the rest of the year.

Minish cap was pretty good too though!

OldBoy 02-26-05 04:48 PM

Close this thread..."Resident Evil 4" wins the rest of this year!

i don't play games ever...sure i buy them, but i don't play them. however, i bought it opening day and only popped it in on Friday and now i can't stop playing "Resident Evil 4" or think about playing "Resident Evil 4". I say close this thread and just say "Resident Evil 4" for every month for the rest of this year...at least my opinion that is.

1998Nole 02-26-05 05:11 PM

Mercenaries

Decker 02-26-05 05:24 PM

I love Minish Cap, very cool game.

I'll let you know about RE4 when it hits the PS2 this fall. I take it it's a lot better game than RE2 which got rave reviews, but I hated?

DeanoBKN 02-26-05 08:00 PM

1. Resident Evil 4.
2. LOZ: Minish Cap
3. Mercenaries
