Finally, no pun intended, a reason to try this series.

I'm not sure what platform has to do with it.

Likely, these games will by like Crystal Chronicles in that they'll be significantly different than the main series. I'll follow their progress with great interest.

That article is a bit misleading as Hironobu Sakaguchi no longer works for Square. These two exclusive games are from Sakaguchi's new company Mistwalker and have nothing to do with Square-Enix or the Final Fantasy series.

I think you guys may be misreading the article, it simply states that the creator of the Final Fantasy series will be making two games for the XBOX. It doesn't necessarily specify that these will be Final Fantasy games, although that would be an interesting snafu.

Dang.. the inconsistencies were already pointed out.. I wanted to come in and ask if you'd need to DVD Remote accessory to play these 2 new Xbox exclusive movies.

Yep, major misread. The main final fantasy series will be on sony's consoles exclusively for the foreseeable future as Sony owns a significant chunk of Square Enix.

Xbox (and xbox2) needs all the help it can get in this area so any news like this is a positive. Hopefully this will fill in a gap that currently exists in the library.
