Is this available anywhere? I know it was supposed to be released today (2/22), but all the weekly ads from the major stores (Best Buy, Circuit City, etc) say it won't be on sale until Thursday. That's the way it is the Boston area anyway.

I'm tired of waiting. I need it now.

Maybe President's Day screwed up the shipping date. Are there any stores that are definitely selling it today?

Got it this morning. I don't mean to dampen anybodies spirits but, it really does feel like a Gran Turismo 3 expansion pack like the reviews say. If anybody wants specifics on anything lemma know.

We should be getting this game in the store this evening. I personally would wait on purchasing it though. My friend works at Sony testing PSP games and he played GT4 a bit. Apparently there is an active database of over 11000 bugs and they are still testing/fixing the game Off topic, ATV Offroad PSP is crap...dont buy it

I forget where I saw this mentioned, but if you have GT3 saves on your memory card, do you get some kind of bonus (more cash to start with or skipping certain license tests)?

It may feel like an expanision pack to some, but I don't really care. I thought GT3 was actually a downgrade from GT2. Fewer cars and the same tracks is where I think GT3 dropped the ball, but it was still the best racing game on the PS2, IMO.

If GT4 actually does have better graphics, MORE cars, NEW tracks, and improved car physics; then that's good enough for me. I went to a few stores this morning and nobody had it yet. Most said that it might be available later tonight.

Same here...I'm going to be checking out a few places tonight. I got the release date wrong...it's tomorrow (2/23) not today...but most stores told me that their shipments might arrive tonight...thus I could pick one up if they had it.

As for it being an expansion...I'm fine with that as well. I loved GT3 and more tracks and cars can only make this one better.

That doesn't necessarily mean that the PS2 version will have that any bugs. The PSP version is earlier in development.

Do they re-release games with "fixed" bugs anyway? Wasn't there a major bug in GT2 where you could never complete the game 100%? I don't remember if they ever fixed that.

As mentioned, even if its an "expansion" of GT3, only with more cars and more tracks, thats good enough for me too, I loved GT3 except for the damn super license.

I am at work now, i will be hitting up BB tonight to see if they have it.

I remember that, I tried calling the number. You had to say just the right thing for them to send a replacement. I read a "script" possibly from this site and the would no do it. My game was buggy as hell. Eventually my save got corupted and when you tried to race you would tap the gas and the car would redline and never come off, but yet when the green light came on, it wouldn't move...

I just picked this up, pretty impressive so far. The amount of cars is making my head spin.

I'll answer my own post about the GT3 saves, in case anybody else also was wondering. You can transfer up to 100,000 credits from your GT3 save (which helps you start off with a much better car since you only start with 10,000 otherwise), and you will also start off with the B and A licenses. However the licenses just say PASSED, you don't get awarded any medals for each of the events. So you'll still have to complete all the tests if you want to collect all the golds.

Yep , i grabbed mine at work this evening and been playing it. For some reason it is not like the component cables on my tv. Looks like it is trying to force Pro-scan once in a while or something and it interlaces off/on.

NOthing that is bothering me yet... it looks great!

it switches to 480i in the menus, and 1080i/480p while playing. your tv switching is what you may be seeing.

Its GT3 with more cars. Try crashing into a wall, theres no sound! Is THIS was Sony was trying to do by delaying it close to a year? Talk about an expansion pack

So how does the 1080i look. I'm just renting this game, no real interest in buying. I just gotta see 1080i gaming in action on my tv.

GT4 has one thing going for it and it is the Logitech FF Driving Force Pro 900 degree support. With this excellent wheel and the 2.5 turn support, the realism of driving gets jacked up significantly.

GT3 with more cars? So what! If you love driving sims, this is the game for you. BTW, there are also more tracks and several new modes like B-spec and Photo.

As for the 11,000 bugs, there are always bugs shipped with any piece of software. If it doesn't affect the gameplay, why does it matter?

Sorry I meant to have a question mark after my post, does it have 1080i? I didn't realize the PS2 could do higher than 480p.

Funny, when GT3 came out it was called GT2.5 and such, guess the franchise peaked with 2.
