My Xbox Has Eaten My Halo 2?????

One week after the warranty on my xbox expired it doesn't want to work anymore. The on button flashes red and green, contantly, and I am unable to eject the disc tray from the console (paper-clip in the "hole" below tray, just to the left of the on/off switch???). I've heard bad things about xbox's as well as all other gaming systems....anyway....my Halo 2 disc is stuck is stuck in the friggin console....I've come to the realization that the only possibility, I think, at this point is to suck-it up and buy a new xbox....anyway if anyone knows anything that could be of service ANY help would be greatly appreciated....ESPECIALLY getting Halo 2 out of a dead system. Thanks

it's cheaper to just send it in to be fixed than to buy a new one and you don't lose your saves... usually.

Try slamming it on the sidewalk very hard. The disc will usually come out or, it will put a dent in the concrete.

Honestly, it's cheaper to buy a new one....which is what I did.

Cost to get it repaired $90+shipping = $105 or so.

New Xbox: $150+tax (comes with 2 games/controller)
Memory Card to transfer saves: $5 for a cheap one

Sell broke XBOX on EBAY: $60-$70

$160-$60 = $100 net cost, also you get another controller and games

Eject it manually

Make sure the output cable (that goes from Xbox to TV) is seated tightly. I've gotten that blinking light/no eject problem before, and found that if I push the video cable back in, it fixes it.

No, the Dingo ate your Halo.

I had the same problem with my green Halo system. I unplugged the system for about an hour, then plugged it back in and it ejected the game. It refused to work after that.
