How do you turn OFF the stupid green triangles in Rome Total War

Rome Total War -

Awesome game, and im gonna fire it up again as soon as i get my projector installed, but one thing i was wondering is -

is there any way to play the game without the irritating green triangles underneath your units ? I really felt that it distracted from the overall experience.

Anyone?

sorry I can't answer your question, but how would you know which army you had selected without the triangles? If you want a cinematic battle, just send them to battle, then select someone who isn't fighting, such as your general, or your cleanup squad of horsemen.

thats fine and all, but when you are viewing a battle up close and need to select a unit that takes up almost all of the screen, - those stupid green triangles just look awful, and detracts from the experience. I think that to indicate a unit is selected, it should just be highlighted below in the status bar-
