The end of Nintendo in the hardware business.
The coming of the Sony PSP will be a huge blow for Nintendo. And their decision to realease to release the Revolution after Xenon, around the same time as PS3, will be final blow. This company is making some very stupid decisions. They consider Sony to be their main rival? Who are they kidding? Obviously this generation, Microsoft was their rival. Sony was in a completely different league.
What do you think?

Sony is the other company that has been top dog for two generations. Nintendo with handheld and Sony with home consoles. Sony is trying to get a piece of the handheld gaming now so there is no question that Sony is their rival.

It's just my opinion. I tried my best to make it sound like I wasn't bashing anything.

Read the first post.
I don't want to write anything else because people might consider it console-bashing.

Don't we have this thread about every six months? And I believe that nintendo has lead the handheld market for a long time.

"The coming of the Sony PSP will be a huge blow for Nintendo." Why?
"And their decision to realease to release the Revolution after Xenon, around the same time as PS3, will be final blow." Why?
"This company is making some very stupid decisions." Other than the Revolution/Xenon thing, what?

As it currently stands, your reasoning sucks. You might as well close this thread now.

Well I THINK you need to take time when posting powder kegs like this post of yours. Nintendo making stupid decisions? Can you give us some examples? It's been in my experience that if you place "IMO" in your posts you may or may not be tagged for flaming, but if you really want to have a discussion then please find us some facts and back them up.
Take Advil for headaches, and Mydol for any cramps.

No, the DS has sold like Hotcakes and is aimed at a differnt market than the PSP. DS is geared mainly toward kids/parents who buy the shit out of every gameboy (which is why it was one of the hot/impossible to find items this x-mas) while the PSP is aimed at older gamers and techies who like sleek do a lot of crap technology.
As far as launching after X-box 2, again not a big deal as it's a different market. X-box gamers skew toward older gamers, and especially toward PC gamers who want a console. Nintendo skews younger, with the older gamers being the long time gamers who grew up on Nintendo like me. Neither MS or Nintendo consider the other competition. MS just wants to catch up to Sony and put a set top box in every house, Nintendo just wants to gain some ground and find a way to keep make good profits doing things there way.
Nintendo's not going anywhere anytime soon. I don't think any of the 3 are, but MS would be the most likely to drop out. I don't see them making an X-box 3 if they X-box 2 doesn't gain more market share than the X-box and start making profits. The investors are only going to accept losses for so long. But that said, I think MS will do better next round, and all 3 companies will be in the console business for the foreseable future.

I agree Nintendo games are "the bomb". But I would rather see them on technically superior (not to mention aesthetically) consoles.

You were not called a Troll, and what does your post history have to do with this post?
And why do some people get such an alarmist atitude when ever one of the console makers has an anouncement?

Gamecube games look better than PS2 games, and almost identical to the X-box.
I also prefer the look of the GC to the X-box. The X-box's green is ugly and it's ridiculously big and heavy. I like to keep my consoles under my tv, behind doors, and out of sight. It wasn't an option with the X-box as it wouldn't fit there, while the GC and PS2 fit fine.
