I got to level 3 with 3 guys left and still couldn't get it. Then I tried again using a save state and got past level 3 only to find out from there the game just starts over and I still didn't have 60,000, so I give up! I don't even have a game in mind to pick anyway. Nothing wrong with Sinistar. :)

Yeah, my high score came from getting to level 3 with 3 guys left. In the capture I took, I just lost one guy to hitting the creature, and one second later hitting the missile... -rolleyes-

I think the key for high scores (at least what I did), was getting up to the high ? platforms and hitting them as many times as possible while they are on the screen. I found one worth 400 for each time you jumped on it...
