Website That Has Game Plot Summaries?

I'm looking for a website that summarizes the major plot points of video games. Basically with the sequels to games being spaced out by a year or more I need to refresh my memory on the story elements. I thought GameFAQs would have this information, but the walkthroughs have little info with regard to plot if any at all.

I think that it's a hit and miss. Some of those spoilers KILL the game, because they give out each little tid bit... because the writer feels the need to commentary dialogue.

Anyways, I've never heard of a site like that... you might be best of just searching on the internet for the game and hopefully finding so nerdy fan who made an online shrine... or post and ask.

I'm not looking for anything overly extensive, just a concise summary of what happened in game "x" and how it all ties together. My search really stems from the fact that some of the more "in-depth" games (e.g. Metal Gear Solid, Soul Reaver) can be very confusing from the get go and after a year or more off between sequels I'm even more confused by the names and past plot elements being brought up. For instance, I just finished playing Jak 3 and I was confused by a few things, some small and some huge plot points.
Spoiler:
I thought Keira had gone back into the past with baby Jak at the end of Jak II, but there she is still in the future world. But most importantly, when you find out that Jak IS Mar I was confused because from what I remember Mar was some big shot hero from the past (the time of the Precursors) and Jak clearly is not from the time of the Precursors
I also heard from someone recently that they thought in Metal Gear Solid 2
Spoiler:
the portions of the game with Raiden didn't really happen, that they were merely a virtual simulation. Hinted at by the fact that the General goes all wacky, etc.
Well of course after hearing this I wanted to get a summary of the story to see if this was indeed true and how it all tied together. So if there isn't a specific website that provides such information I would greatly appreciate it if someone could clear up those two areas of confusion for me.

Honestly, these things never make sense. Ever play FFVII? You really don't need to remember that Cloud is a reincarnation of a 14th century monk who fell in love with one of Tifa's ancient relatives and buried some DNA in a five-dimensional organism that infected a robot, hence raising elemental demons that will rage against the earth in order to restore the balance of good and evil. Just remember, "Kill the boss in that evil-looking city over there; must rescue Aeris along the way."

Just enjoy the gameplay and let the bizarro-world story play itself out. It's not intended for you, anyway, since you're not Japanese.

-eek- Hey I'm kinda glad for your explanation of FFVII. It now makes MUCH more sense. It really did irk me a little to not know the entire backstory.

Unfortunately for me I guess I am someone who cares about both the gameplay and the story elements on most of the games I play. On a game like Mega Man I’m not really locked into the story, but Final Fantasy would be a title where I try to pay attention to the story. So again I ask if anyone could clear up those two areas of confusion for me mentioned above (Jak 3, Metal Gear Solid 2) I would greatly appreciate it.

Honestly, I think MGS2 is open to different people's interpretations. Same with many games. However, you should be able to find a fansite or forum with talk about all MGSs, but I am not sure about Jak.

Spoiler:
The Raiden stuff did actually happen, there is no question about that. The Colonel went all wacky because he was actually a part of the GW AI system on Arsenal Gear, and was infected for a little while after Snake & co. installed that virus into the system. Remember that? That person was probably confused by the whole S3 thing, which you first were told stood for "Solid Snake Simulator", which was only partly true.

I suggest yo go to metalgearsolid.org and check out one of the MGS2 ending analysis articles under "features". That should clear things up for you.

Thank you both for your replies, I will be sure to check out that Metal Gear Solid website.
