played WSG last night with my 24 warrior. we got pwned. I was dead about half the time and we lost in about 7 minutes. |
Is there an expansion planned for the fall?

might as well go to moonglow and pick up the bird there as well. the furbolg tunnel can go there as well. i find it faster to winterspring to from auberdine, moonglow, everlook (not thru felwood). -- http://members.cox.net/katy-w/Trades/Tailoring.htm |
Has anyone found any arcane crystals?
It's hard enough to find rich thorium mines and I've found about 8, but have yet to find 1 arcane crystal from it. Does it depend on what zone? I've been looking in Ungoro. |

I havent mined any yet. But they're rare drops off of rich thorium veins.

I ended up just buying the Runecloth Bag pattern at auction for a couple gold. figured i could make the gold back in less time then it would take me riding to winterspring. I love it when bag patterns are new and you get tailoring points for them, much better than just making crap to disenchant.
Ran Zul Farrak on friday night. Great instance, got a good amount of gold and about 60% of the experience needed to go from 48 to 49. Got my carrot on the stick and completed 3 other quests. Had a pretty terrible group. My wifes paladin was the only healer and only plate wearer. Had a mage (me), pally, hunter, rogue, and warlock. Hunter ran out of arrows about 5 minutes into ZF and had to go back to Streamweddle for more. other than that he was fine. Rogue was pretty good and not whiney; knew his stuff. Warlock was whiney and thought he was great. He keep getting aggro and dying and complaining that the pally didnt heal him fast enough. I have no idea how he managed to get so much aggro so fast instead of the rogue or hunter getting it. warlocks seems to usually be pretty aggro safe since they mostly DoT. Anyways, my wife hated him and complained most of the time. I got an awesome staff from the witch doctor by the zombies. I thought the illusionary rod would last me longer, but this new rod adds like 21 damage to spells and i'm going for a fire damage build. cant wait to run ZF again and try out mauradon. |
Besides Scarlet Monestary, what other instances are available for a lvl 38 human priest?

You can talk to any innkeeper and he will tell you about instances that are your difficulty. |
You can probably start working on the non-instance quests for Uldaman. seems like most of the Uldaman quests are not in the instance
|
You will like Maraudon, there are a ton of caster drops there including a sword that adds 1% crit to spells, plus a princess run is really short, should take around an hour if you have a good group, maybe hour and a half at the most.
|
Yeah, Maraudon has some really great caster gear, but I'm still trying to get the Bad Mojo Mask from Zul'Farrak :(
|
Yup, there's definitely some cool caster stuff to look out for when you go to Maraudon....
Cloud Stone - Drops off of Landslide Satyrmane Sash - Drops off of Lord Vyletongue Vinerot Sandals - Drops off of Razorlash Rotgrip Mantle - Drops off of Rotgrip Inventor's Focal Sword - Drops off of Tinkerer Gizlock Charstone Dirk - Drops off of Princess Theradras Eye of Theradras - Drops off of Princess Theradras Gemshard Heart - Drops off of Princess Theradras |
don't forget about the Fist of Stone

I ended up buying the Mooncloth pattern yesterday for 2 or 3 gold from the AH. I then bought a couple Felcloths for a gold each and went to SW moonwell and made a piece of Mooncloth. Mooncloth usually sells for 10-14g a piece on my server, so i should be able to make like 8-10g every 4 days just from selling the mooncloth. not bad

Best money making from alchemy is Transmute Water to Air. I buy Essence of Water for 8-9g at the AH and transmute and sell it for 24-25g. The cooldown on the essence transmutes is only 1 day too. :) Downside is you have to complete a bunch of quests in Scholomance in order to get the recipe. But being a quest junkie I was happy to do them. :)

Alchemy/herbalism seems to be a real money maker by the time you get your skill up to 250 or so. I have tailoring/echanting and have really been able to make much money except by making mageweave headbands and disenchanting them and selling the parts. that doesnt even net much money, though. I've been to lazy to stand around the AH bridge trying to sell enchants or else I might have made a little bit.
Enchanting is good for soulbound items that you 'out grow' because if they're blue they often disenchant into a shard which is worth a lot more then the vendor price on the soulbound item. |
I typically buy herbs from the AH when they are cheap so I almost never gather anymore. Does it make sense to drop and take up enchanting?
|
If you play a Rogue and want to make some serious money, take Mining & Enchanting. I have a friend I play with who makes on an average of 70-80g p/day. He can stealth his way into Black Rock Depths and collect Dark Iron which sells on an avg. of 2g each. He stealths his way into most instances up to lvl 50, like Scarlet Monastery, Uldaman, ZF, etc and solos the end bosses. Then he disenchants the BoP items and sells the shards on the AH. Some shards bring in on an average of 6-10g each depending on which type of shard it is.
