Xbox questions (custom music?)
I've heard you can save your own music onto an Xbox so you can play it back during games. Is this for only certain games? If so which ones, and how do I do it?
I only have Top Spin, NCAA Football 2005, Jet Set Radio and Sega GT Thanks! |
You can rip cds to the hard drive. Just put in a music cd, and I think it gives you an option to copy to hard drive.
There are a few games that have custom music ability. Just look on the back, in all the features of the game. It will say something like "Custom Soundtrack" |
A few good ones that do support this are
Burnout 2 & 3 GTA: 3 & Vice City You can also use the music mixer to mass transfer MP3s to the hard drive. It is far from user friendly and a clunky, sometimes frustrating program to use. When it works it is great though. |
Project Gotham 1 & 2 use this feature as well.

Thanks for all the help. Once I get a game that has the custom soundtrack feature I'll have to check it out.
EDIT: just tried it for Sega GT 2002. works perfectly :) pretty awesome |
Yes, I love this feature on the Xbox. I think they should advertise it more than they do.

Too bad they didn't add this feautre to Outrun. I really enjoy it in racing games.
Also ESPN 2K5 allows you to use custom sountracks when you score a touchdown, etc. |
