Why no new Wrestling games for Xbox?
 

My GF loves the wrestling games but it seems the only new ones she likes are on the cube and PS2

If i wait, are new ones coming soon (before xmas) for the xbox?

THQ fired the developer for the Xbox WWE games, and after Raw 2 who can blame them?
Apparently a third game is being worked on for Xbox but it's been pretty quiet.

I heard the WrestleMania series that used to be on the GC will be moved to XBOX. PS2 will keep their Smackdown line, while GC will get games like DoW, not really keeping it in a series.

Backyard Wrestling 2 comes out next week. There is a 99% chance it will be awful though.

last I heard WRestleMania 21 was coming out in March to coincide with the actual event, but that was awhile back and I haven't heard anything recently

and yes that backyard wrestling will probably suck. She likes the 'official' WWE stuff anyway. She likes the characters etc..

yeah,wtf...if anyone from THQ is reading this or knows anyone there, HOW F'N hard is it to make a game that doesn't completely suck, do you have test audiences? are they wrestling fans? could you please just make a copy of the smackdown game! and have it come out on xbox! this is really really sickening, as i'm a huge wrastlin fan and have ben really pissed off over this matter. everytime a new game comes out i gotta go to my buddy's to play on ps2! I swear, you need to work on the basic controls of the game, just make them like the ps2 version, how hard is it? and then add more stuff for the xbox

I didn't think the PS2 games were all that hot either. Serviceable, at least.

I wonder why they don't just do what everyone else does, and port the game over from one system to another... why have three different development teams making three different games involving pretty much the same roster of wrestlers?

Of course, if they did this they'd use the worst team, I'm sure. I'm still not sure why they don't just license the Fire Pro Wrestling engine or at the very least go back to the Nintendo 64 wrestlers, which many believe are still some of the best wrestling games of the last few generations...

Agreed. I heard that the Legends of the Colleseum is better than Fire Pro. Maybe they should import that. It's 3D.

I think so. It's supposed to be the same type of game as the Smackdown series, only with fake Divas made to resemble the WWE ones.
