It depends. Do you need a full Starter Kit (with headset & game) If so, the best thing would be to get one of the coupons from the BB Madden book for $20 off the $69.99 list.
If you just need the renewal card, then the best deal is at Target.com. They are selling it for $39.99 and you can use the code TDALLSAVETEN to save another $4. Unfortunately shipping looks like it's $4.50.

There was a really good deal from Microsoft recently, but it's gone now.

Best deal eh?

Go to Toys R Us...

They have the 12 months of Live and headset sets (With Moto GP demo) for $49.98 and 50% off.

They are having this Green Tag 50% off sale that makes anything marked with a green price tag 50% off. Well, above these I found the newer Live sets which include Crimson Skies. I found 2 with these stickers even though the rack price was $69.99. Took it to the register and it came up $69.99 but upon seeing the $49.98 green tag the guy corrected it and I got a 12 months of live, headset and Crimson Skies for.....$24.98.

I then told my dad (A 56 year old Halo fiend) who then ran over and also got in on this deal. We are now anticipating Halo 2 even moreso. :)

I've heard Halo 2 comes with 2 month free subscription for Xbox Live. And I'm pretty sure once you sign up, you can change the subscription to the 1 year for $50 deal on the main menu, which saves the hassle of running out to buy Xbox Live and then Halo 2.(anybody know if im wrong about changing it?)

Can't wait for next Tuesday!

Nice if you can get it, but that's sure a YMMV thing. My local TRU had almost nothing besides Dreamcast games and three-year old football games with green stickers.

Well, other green tag XBox items included link cables, S-Video, AV and a few games which no one wants. All these items were the official MS XBox items too. Probably the coolest of the deals was that 7 inch LCD screen that attaches to the XBox for portable play. It was $169.99 and had a green tag....so $84.99. But yeah if anything the BASIC Live kits, the earlier release with the demos (MotoGP, Whacked!, Mechassault) were easily $24.98 after that green tag 50% off. My dad and I just managed to get the dude to accept that new $69.99 Crimson Skies set. It wasn't hard at all, he saw "$69.99" come up and saw the green $49.99 tag and said "Damn computer" and poof 2 Crimson Skies live sets for $54.99 after tax. They had quite a few Crimson Skies AND FULL Mechassaults, and a ton of the basics.

Good luck...I may go over for another ;)

I signed up for Xbox Live back in February with a 2-Month FREE Trial. It reads in small print that once the trial is over your CC will be billed the monthly rate of $5.99+tax. I know they began billing me $6.48 in April but then I cancelled it in September since I didn't have many Live-enabled games.

I think it's possible that you could purchase a subscription card and when you enter the CODE it will automatically kick in when the trial expires.
