ESPN b-ball, 2k5 question
I've been playing this for a bit, and have a question for the franchise mode.
How long does it take for a rookie that you just draft to get good, have a good rating?
Is it all about your practice, or does it eventually go up naturally like past versions?
If it's about practice, what's the best way to train your players? (ex: rest one week, go ultimate/intense the week after, etc)

It takes the players until about the 3rd or 4th year to get good. That happens to be when their contract expires which kind of sucks since you will now have to pay them a hefty amount of money. They become superstars around the 5th or 6th season usually. I never do the practice thing, I just skip it. Their ratings go up naturally like all the other versions. I always hire coaches that are good at teaching players so the ratings will go up faster.
