Also what is the biggest sized memory stick you can buy? Chris And the biggest memory stick right now is 1GB I believe. |
I don't know if you guys have seen this but it's pretty interesting. Check it out.

Site with tons of pics showing various background colors, MP3 playback, and video playing off of the memory stick. That screen is insane!

After those last few links I REALLY want one now. The problem is I never travel so I honestly have no reason to have one.
I guess my family is at a loss this year as to what I want for Xmas so it seems they are all giving cash or gift cards. I hope I get enough to cover this sucker. |
GameSpot comments on Battery Life:
Sony has rated the battery life to be around the six hour mark when playing games. So far, that seems to be accurate. http://forums.gamespot.com/gamespot/...topic=18017788 |
This is a very cool piece of tech, but the software lineup just isn't anywhere near close to what I'd need to justify purchase; aside from Lumines, there isn't a single announced PSP exclusive that interests me in the least.

Well I received an email from Play-Asia in regards to my pre-order and they now want $529.99 for the PSP Value Pack. They can stuff it. Not about to pay the cost of two PSP's for only one.

Well for $530 I can wait but have you guys seen the Ridge Racers videos on IGN! Good Gawd that game looks amazing. Can barely believe that it's running on a handheld.
edit: Besides showing the screen from different angles this pic is kind of funny too. (don't want to start a DS vs. PSP war, but I did laugh when I saw it.) |
I'm flat out blown away by the quality of the PSP for games, music and video. I use Sony Image Converter to convert video for my Palm so I know how good that looks. The new IC 2.0 that the PSP uses does even higher quality.
I'm going to be real tempted to pick one of these up when they come out here. Having an all in one Video, MP3 and near PS2 gaming system for $199 is unreal. My PDA was $350 and I bought it to do many of the same things so the price of the PSP seems like a steal. Sony really looks to have a winner here. Good thing Nintendo has jumped out to such an early lead and Sony can't produce many units. The PSP could have been much more of a threat if it had really launched head to head with the DS. When the PSP launches here picking it and Gran Turismo 4 up looks like a must. When next Christmas rolls around and Sony finally has the units coming out steady and a decent library of games I honestly don't see how this won't be the must item to buy. I guess the Xbox 2 will be out then as well, but I would put the PSP way above it on my Christmas list. |

I had avoided the hype so well. I really believed that I didn't want a PSP and I can't believe how quickly that's changing.........

I have to agree it looks amazing. I am also amazed at the price as well. |
Those pictures are looking nice, but I'm still not seeing any software making me sit up and take notice. The DS may not be as fancy, but there's plenty of software my better half and I are really wanting. Maybe for my birthday next summer, but otherwise we're waiting.

I found one importer on-line who has them in stock, and they're selling the standard pack for over $500. That's crap.

what does "poned" mean?
|
Forgive my ignorance but everything I read has only talked about playing within local networks. Are any of these games able to be played online?
