What Games Are You Getting During The 2 Weeks 10/27-11/9
 

This may be the most intense two week period in gaming history. Scratch that-- it definately is. I'm curious to see what everyone is planning on getting (and if anyone is holding anything off for a Christmas gift)

For me, this period will include:
GTA San Andreas
Ratchet and Clank : Up Your Arsinal
Jak 3
Killzone
DOA Ultimate

..and that's me exercising restraint!
(I'd allso like to pick up ATV Offroad Fury 3, Ace Combat 5 and Tron 2.0 during that period, but will have to pass for now).

What's on your list on the two weeks from financial hell?

Just GTA for me, how do you have enough time to play that many games?

These next few weeks will be wallet hell for me. GTA -> Halo2 -> Half Life 2.

edit: I think Halo2 comes out Nov 9, so I'll be getting that also.

GTA San Andreas is all I need for now. I'll get Jak III and Ratchet and Clank 3 when they become greatest hits.

What's the rush? You won't have time to play all those games during a two-week period anyway.

Answering the question: Halo 2 is on pre-order, but I imagine it'll arrive well after 11/9 (mtv.com deal).

Just Halo 2.
I still have Paper Mario, Burnout 3, Street Fighter Anniversary, Midway 2 and Katamari Damacy to keep me busy.

I'm not sure if I will actually get these within their release week or not, or try and wait for a sale, etc., but the ones I am looking at are:

Halo 2
Mario Power Tennis
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3
A couple of the NES Classics series 2

Some games I am interested in but don't know if I'll ever get (ATV 3) and some I will definately wait for more time and a price drop (Jak 3, Ratchet & Clank, Bard's Tale).

For a few weeks after these two I will most likely be picking some titles up right away as well, such as Metroid Prime 2, and will play the waiting game on others.

Very true, but for me GTA : SA, R&C and perhaps Jak 3 will all come via the TRU deal. If I can't return the second placeholder I'll have to keep Sly 2 and perhaps wait on Jak 3. Halo 2 and DOA Ultimate both come as a result of the MTV.com deal so like others here, I won't be getting them right away.

The problem is I don't need all these games ASAP, but that's when you get the good prices on them.

I thought the same thing when this sale came around last time. There are games I bought then that I STILL haven't played, and they've dropped in price by more than half. I can see Jak 3 & Ratchet and Clank 3 doing that, as well as Ace Combat 5 (but I want that one right away, regardless).

San Andreas and Halo 2 for me.

Everything else can wait for a price drop.

Not sure if this counts, but Nov. 8th I plan to start camping outside my loval game store. I'll be there till the 17th, but it will give me the chance to hang out with all the Halo junkies for a night. ;)

Just curious...why are you camping out at the game store?

Metroid Prime: Echoes. Baten Kaitos and Outrun 2 are also on my list. Skipping Halo 2 hype.

Halo2 ... as I'm about to finish X-men Legends and still have not opened my copy of Fable. Those will keep me busy until KOTOR2 and MechAssault 2

None. Only R&C3 and Halo 2 interest me, and I have R&C2 sitting untouched still and didn't like Halo enough to pay full price for the sequel.

Metroid Echoes. :) I was just joking anyway. It was my way of saying I'm passing on GTA and Halo2 for now in favor of Echos.

Just Halo 2 I want DOA but no money.

Just buying Halo 2, but we have a bunch of games that are coming out within the next few weeks on our Gamefly list.

I disagree, I don't have time to play them right now, and there's games I want to play more coming out soon (MP2, Kotor2, etc.) so I see no point in Paying $100 or so for 3 games now, when I can wait a year or so and get the same 3 games for under $50 when they drop to $19.99 and use the $5 best buy coupons.

Everquest 2 is the only game I'm getting during these 2 weeks, I wont need anything else, trust me :p

Edit: Couldn't wait, got GTA: SA today at Best Buy, along with Ratchet and Clank 2 for an extra $5.

I'm sure there'll be changes at release, but for me at least it's not nearly as addictive as the first one was (which is a good thing--I never need a game that addictive again!)
