I just bought a used XBOX memory card...

I haven't used it yet and I wanted to know if there would be any reason NOT to use it or am I being paranoid?

Ha ha very funny. :p I mean does anyone know of any problems it can cause on my xbox? I don't know what the person before did to this thing....

Well, technically there is a way to to put destructive code on the card that could damage your xbox's memory, but I haven't heard of it happening yet. Someone would have to have a lot of time on there hands to do something so pointless. You'll be fine.

but there's always that possibility that there might be destructive code on it... you better mail it to me just in case so I can check it for you.

Wait, wait, wait. Is this memory card kind of blackish and rounded on top? Because if it is, then it's probably one of the ones that I put the destructive code on, and then sold at that place where you bought it. Sorry about that.

There is the possibility that someone put some code on it that could have been used to hack the box. However, these generally are imbedded in save game files and are exceedingly large. If you delete all the existing saved games it should be fine.
