The Political Machine - anyone play it?
Circuit City has the Political Machine PC game for $9.99 this week (I price matched it at Best Buy for $8.99). In it you are the campaign manager for a presidential candidate. Your candidate can be Bush, Kerry, Clinton, Arnold, etc. or you can create a custom one. I haven't played it yet, as my old desktop probably can't handle the game and my laptop's busted (but I will be getting a new one shortly). I'm going to do my damnedest to get a libertarian candidate into the White House.
Just wondering if anyone's played it and, if so, what they're thoughts on the game are. |
I caught my wife checking this game out at Wal-Mart the other night. She is very into politics and I don't really pay too much attention to any of it. I'd be tempted to get it for her if the reviews are decent. I mean it's a pretty cheap game so I'm not expecting it to be that amazing.

Thanks DJLinus for the heads up. I went ahead and bought it at Circuit City for $10. I'll probably be installing it Sunday. Hopefully it's fun!

I picked it up, but haven't played it yet.
Read some reviews of it at Amazon. One guy said campaigning is basically more about playing games rather than focusing on issues. I guess that's kind of like real life! :-) Still sounds interesting and can't wait to get into it. |
I finally got around to playing this. For $10, it's not a bad little game.

It got a good review in Computer Gaming World (4 and 1/2 out of 5, I believe).
And it was the subject of the always-entertaining Tom vs Bruce battle this month in the magazine, too. |
Not bad, I would give it an 8/10

Its an awesome deal for 10 bucks. I think its a cool diversion, take up and hour here and there.
