To make a long story real short, I brought a $10 off any PC game at Circuit City taken out of my PC Gamer magazine. with an expiration date of 09/30/04. They would not take it. It was not in the system. I was pissed and asked for the store manager but still to no prevail.
They said take it up with the 800 number etc. I don't know if it's fake advirtisement or whatnot but i felt it was very unfair to not honor their own coupon. Don't advertise it if you won't let consumers use it.

Does anyone else know any info about this or have the same problem.

The coupon is right out of this month's edition.

maybe it is too new? that sucks as they could have overridden it... do they sell pc gamer at their store?

I have cut out the same coupon but haven't tried to use it yet.

I would guess that this is an isolated incident that has more to do with the ass-hole-ery of the people who work at that particular location

Can anyone try this coupon there.

I would love to know if they accepted them elsewhere, because i spent like 10 minutes arguing with the manager. Basically that the scan isnt taking it so it isnt in our system so we can't accept it, but you can take it up with the 800 toll number if you like. I was really fuming, so i just left.

You have to wait till September to use it. If you got the $10 off coupon from September Issue .Otherwise, the manager will adjust $10 off.

Did you call the 800 # ? They would likely contact the store and make them accept it if it's a legit coupon.

I called the 800 number. The person called the store i went to and basically gave me the same answer. And yes it's the original coupon from PC Gamer.

And no i did not buy any game. At this point i am curious if anyone else used the coupon yet.

Anyone know how many games you can buy per coupon? Also, what is on the cover of the PCGamer with the coupon?
