Toys R Us stores are having a 50% clearance sale right now on toys and video games. This sale is nationwide and has not yet been advertised. The stuff going on clearance are games and toys that have been discontinued, so the newer stuff isn't on sale.

Is the sale not advertised just outside the store, or not in store either? Just urious what the best way to find more items will be.

I will head to mine tomorrow and see what I can find. Anyone without a TRU nearby looking for anything? I am very interested in finding Futurama, and maybe a couple more they get added, if anyone can just an eye out in case I can't find any.

Cashiers will have to ring up and subtotal as if you are buying to find out if titles are part of the sale. I had a cashier do this and he was getting upset, as if he was doing anything else.

I went and grabbed Mark of Kri and Silent Hill 3, the cashier did indeed have to look at the subtotal to confirm they were on clearance. She then proceeded to tell me that most games ending in $xx.x7 or $xx.x5 should be on clearance, so I grabbed Castlevania: Lament of Innocence because it was $19.95. I think she was wrong because the computer didn't take off 50%, but she ended up overiding it for me . So I got 3 pretty solid games for less then $30, not too bad.

Also I think Guilty Gear X2 is also part of the sale for $15 because the guy in front of me grabbed it.

Thanks for the heads up on these deals. I saw this thread 30 minutes ago and rushed out to Toys R' Us I got Freedom Fighters for Xbox and Megaman Network Transmission for GC. I've been meaning to pick these up for some time and $25 for both is a hell of a deal.

Most employees don't even know about this, and games definitely are not marked yet. In fact it won't even show up if you get it scanned. You have to get it "totaled" as if you were about to check out to get 50%.

For anyone in Augusta, they had one more copy of Links 2004 and plenty of Morrowind. I cleaned them out of their last copies of Jedi Academy and Panzeer Dragoon Orta.

The scan doesn't reflect the discounted price; there's another screen that shows the actual price just before you complete the purchase.

Didn't have time to search much, but I did find out that these will show up at the discounted price on the price scanners scattered through the store. So if theres anything your not sure about, thats the way to find out. Hopefully I'll stop by again tomorrow when I'll have more time to see if I can find anything else.

I picked up SSX 3 (GC) today, and you can add MoH:Frontline (GC) $10, and MoH:Rising Sun (GC) $15.


And as the post above stated, I did find at one of the stores you could scan them on the Blue/Yellow price check box it would come up with the title, then it would say Green Tag 50% off, and finally Marked price $xx.xx.

Picked up GBA Virtua Tennis. No luck on Sega Soccer Slam. An employee actually showed me a list but it was the full retail prices and amount instock-410 & Blanco.
