Neat concept but something other than a wood finish would of been a bit cooler.

It also looks like Wavebirds would be a problem with that setup and that right there would be a red flag for me.

It's a little bit of an eyesore. :)

You're telling me! My wife would kill me if she saw that chunk of crap sitting in our...my... :) living room.

um, what am i looking at? is that cedar?

i like the look of the GC; very cool industrial design. not sure about that setup.

ok, after reading his story, i commend him on it a little more. i do agree that some other material would have worked better... like clear plexi! :D

I'm sorry... but that is one ugly looking piece of shit.

cheapskate 07-26-04 02:59 PM

Actually, I've read the article, and have changed my opinion.

It's an ugly, dangerous, noisy piece of shit.

That was easy to bypass (just tied them down) but this means that the system can run even with the lid open, which is potentially dangerous with a Class I laser inside. Just beware that eye damage can be sustained if operated with the lid open.

I'm certain that I don't need a fan half this size with all the space inside this box, but you know boys, they love their fans! Truth of the matter is, it's rather noisy
Apologies if this is the work of the OP. :)

And I thought my xbox was big, sheesh.

Small form factor is one of the best parts of the Gamecube and also makes it look really sophisticated, that thing looks huge. I haven't read the article yet, but maybe I will...

sjividen 07-26-04 11:11 PM

Hehe...I just thought it was neat that the guy went to the trouble to slap em all together, even at great personal danger to himself <g>. It's obvious he's not going to be hired for home design anytime soon, though...

read the article. it's sort of an homage to nintendo as it puts together all of the ninento consoles and not only the gamecube. he also really likes zelda so i think it is Pixy. :bam!:

btw, i must acquire that simpsons car!

TOPDAWG 07-27-04 01:01 PM

Like the wood look but his layout is crap and it's far to damn big. I mean you put the cart on the side of the box!? That does not look to good.

Raul3 07-27-04 01:57 PM

that's so ugly and not functional
