Chrono Trigger question

I currently have the SNES version of Chrono Trigger, but on my wishlist of games is Final Fantasy Anthology (which of course includes CT), what I wanted to know simply was how well the game plays on PS1, if the SNES version is better in any way, should I sell off the cart and take the money to buy the Final Fantasy Anthology... thanks

The SNES overall is highly superior, if and only if, for its lack of load times.

The PS1 version has a few extras on it (some cut scenes), but overall, you'll probably get an much more enjoyable experience not having to wait 15 seconds every minute for something (anything and everything) to load.

Its Final Fantasy Chronicles that includes Chrono Trigger, not Anthology.

The PlayStation version has anime cutscenes, but load times which can be frustrating. The Super Nintendo version has no cutscenes, but there are no load times. Chronicles is only $19.99 now, so just get both. The Nintendo version goes for $50-70 on eBay, so if you do sell it, don't take it to EB Games or GameStop or someplace like that.

cutscenes do very little if you ask me. Nice to see and all, but keep the SNES and play that one, you'll be infinitely more appreciative of the lack of load times. I got really pissed playing Anthology, FF6 where everytime I pushed the Menu button there would be a long pause. Keep the SNES version.

Whaat??? You haven't played it yet?
Maybe I'm biased as it's my favorite game of all time, but do yourself a favor and play it ASAP!

I have a stack of about 60 games including CT that I havent got to yet... too many games not enough time... I havent even taken in FFX yet...

Unfortunately, I never owned the game when I first owned an SNES, at that time I was working my way through the phantasy star and shining series on the genesis

Acceptable alternatives. Chrono Trigger has a different style from those games, however. Definitely worth the time.
