Replacement PS2 cord?

I lost the power cord for my PS2, and am looking into getting a replacement. A quick glance makes it seem like Sony doesn't offer replacement ones to readily. I can only find third party ones. Is it pretty much a cord is a cord is a cord, and I can go with whichever one, or are there some that are just complete crap and should be avoided?

as long as it's got the 2-blade wall connection with "one flat ended-one round ended" connector, it will work...

I believe the PS1 power cord will also work with the PS2.

Just get a third-party one, they work just as fine.

Third party will work fine. Go to your local Radioshack and pick up one, they are only $2.99. Here is a direct link:

I've seen a powercord that is supposed to work for both Xbox and PS2. I was wondering if that works fine, since don't they have different power requirements?

The actual power boards are inside the Xbox and PS2, the power cord works on both.
