looking for GBA game similar to Metroid/Castlevania
 

Hi! I am looking for some GBA games in the same vein as the Metroid/Castlevania series. You know, the type of game where you explore the map, gaining abilities that allow you to access other parts of the game. The only game I have found like this so far is Prince of Persia the Sands of Time. Any other ideas would be most appreciated.

Ninja 5-O. The Sonic Advance games are also very good but not exactly what you're looking for.

Ninja Five-O, while a fun game, doesn't really fit his description... you don't "gain abilities that allow you to access other parts of the game." It's much more of a linear side-scroller, where you just pick up occasional power-ups.

I'd love to find out more games like the Castlevania/Metroid ones. Those games are where the GBA (and the older SNES) really shined, IMO.

Megaman games are like that, except no maps
