Nintendojo.com - Where did it go
Hi,
I posted the same thing at Home Theater Forum, hoping for an answer. I haven't been able to get to Nintenojo.com for a few weeks now. Anyone know what happened to it? Here's what I posted at HTF about what I get when I type in the adress and hit enter: FORBIDDEN You don't have permission to access / on this server. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/2.0.48 (Fedora) Server at www.nintendojo.com Port 80 |

Maybe they exceeded their bandwith from all the E3 coverage? If you need another Nintendo site, I recommend Gamecube Advanced:

I used to be one of the editors for GBC Dojo (Later GB Station). We covered handheld news exclusively and for a year or two were a sister site with the guys at Nintendojo. We had a really good time covering E3 back in the day (1999). Back then we were both affiliated with IGN (hence Peer Schneider's name listed as administrative contact...incidentally, he's a prick) and to this day you can still read some of my reviews of old GB and GBC titles on IGN. Unfortunately, we had a falling out over usage of our content without fair compensation (actually, NO compensation) and we threatened a lawsuit. They let us out of the affiliation agreement and we operated independently as GB Station for two or three more years (covering E3 in 2000 and 2001). About that time the three of us found other jobs and didn't have time for the site anymore. The day we shut it down was sad indeed.
Anyway, the guys over at Nintendojo are good fellas and I sincerely hope they haven't gone the way of the dodo. I have fond memories of hanging out with them in L.A. five years ago. |

I fear that they have. Now all there is, is an advertisemnt for creating the site to put there. |
Whew! I just checked the site and there is a message on there, stating that they had been going through problems with their old hosting serviece, and now they are in the process of transferring to a new one. They should be back up in a few days. I'm glad to have these guys back. :)
