? Will the new Ninetendo DS be compatible with GBA game carts?
http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/2...OxBk8pQR%2AhHg
I just saw this unit and it sounds like from the description that current GBA cartridges should be compatible but it sort of writes it as they "can be"....does anyone know if the DS will take GBA cartridges? Thanks. |
Yes, it has 2 separate slots, one for old GB games, and one for the new games...
Also saw it implied that new games could be introduced that could work in conjunction with old GM games. |
GM games?

Damn, everybody's jumping on the video game bandwagon. Go MTV!

Well Ford has that racing game out...GM was getting jealous.
|
What games did GM made?

EBgames guesses the price to be $200 bucks. :(

Here is a good article describing the system (and it does confirm the 2 slots):

I never got around to buying a GBA SP (still playing on my regular old GBA). If this is backwards compatable, I think I'll just wait it out.
|
Great, thanks! I'm with Groucho...I'll wait if this is backwards compatible with my GBA games.
|
Yeah.. I was so excited to get the NES GBA-SP.. but I'd almost feel it'd be a waste with this thing coming out so soon. Oh well, if anything it'll be a cool collectible down the line.

during the conference it is said that it will be able to play your GBA games not your gameboy or gameboy color games.
