Is there any solution for this? (Video Card Problem)

I cannot play Aliens VS Predator II or the first No One Lives Forever with the video card I got to Support No One Lives Frever II (another Sierra game).

The Sirrea site has no patches or support and the card is an Nvidea GeForce FX 5600 Ultra AGP (These guys have absolutely zero support) off Win2000 with which I am able to play my older games. What's the deal?

Has anyone had this problem and solved it without buying another computer and using your old video card.

I actually like most of the old games better.

Oh yeah. Crimson Skies looks like an Atari 400 game now on this card.

Any ideas? Does anyone know of a problem with it?

Does anyone have contact info for Nvidea? It ain't in their brochure.

It's Nvidia not Nvidea. Try updating your video card drivers from their website.

Nvidia has a kind of "once size fits all" deal with their drivers. So they aren't specific to just one video card... don't confuse that for lack of support.

Try this...

http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_56.72

(it's the same driver for win 2000 as it is for XP)

Thanks, both of you (I would hate to walk around saying Nvidea as opposed to Nvidia. Techies pick on me in school as it is), but I downloaded that driver about thirty minutes before posting. When I clicked the link, the download link was already highlighted in purple, showing my previous access to it. I really do appreciate the effort, though

What do you mean by "one size fits all"? If the latest updates don't fix the problems with these (fairly current) games, is that a way of saying that this card will never be compatible?

With the price of used towers these days, it might be worth it to just get another one and use my old card depending on the game I feel like playing.

(And where is the logic when older games than these work fine?)

Awesome sig by the way. That was one of my favorite lines back in the day.

I would go back and try a driver from maybe a few months ago, instead.

You may need to update DirectX as well.
