The Extraordinary League of DVDTalkers (or who wants to play CoH?)

So, we've got a handful of folks in the other thread going "DAMN, I love City of Heroes!" So it only seems natural that we form the League of DVDTalkers - get together and whup ass!

So who's with me? FOR GREAT JUSTICE!

So, lets pick a server, pick a time, and lets slip the dogs of war - or something like that. Anyone have objections to gathering on the Freedom server?

I am on Liberty, level 9 Scrapper. I would like to stay on the server, but if everyone decides on Freedom, I will restart.

Oh, and I say we not go with the "Extraordinary League....".

I'm on Victory with my Brother and a couple of friends. I'm only level 5 Controller but my Bro & friends are twice my level already. They got quite a bit more time on their hands than I do.

I wouldn't mind moving because it wouldn't take me that long to get back to level 5 but getting my Bro & friends to leave would probably be a 'no-go'. So, if you guys wanna hook up, I'm on Victory until further notice.

I wouldn't mind moving servers, creating a new character, and going with this.

This game is way too addicting. And definitely no "Extraordinary League"

Now I don't know if I should remake my Claws/Regen Wolverine type character, or create my alternate that I wanted to do; a War Machine type....decisions, decisions...

Well, we've got liberty, freedom and victory. I picked Liberty pretty much out of the air so really it comes down to Freedom or Victory -

Victory, then?

As for character types, we should make sure we dont double up too much. Me, I'm most familier with the Tanker. That's the one I've gotten highest level and played the most. So dibs on that.

Any server's good.

I don't care about my character either. I'm open to whatever you guys might want as a teammate. I haven't played enough to get too attached to any one character type.

Well, I could actually get the name I wanted over on Victory (El Kabong hadnt been snapped up yet) so I'm leaning towards that. The servers are down right now, so I cant check if it's taken on Liberty yet.

If it is taken, I'm voting for Victory. If it's free, I'll let you two battle it out for which server we wind up on.

Well, I've got El Kabong on both Liberty and Victory - so it doesnt matter which one I go with. I'm a bit further along in the tutorial on Victory (half an hour of playing vs BRAND new character), so I guess Victory still gets my vote.

But either one is fine with me.

Now if you'll excuse me - until you guys decide, I'm getting back to my 7th level Tanker on the Freedom server.

I don't really care. I restarted last night so I'm only a 4th level Tanker. It wouldn't be that big of a deal to create "Total Kaos" on another server. I only picked Liberty originally because it always has a light load and I was looking to play solo.

I'll start a new character (to get through the tutorial stuff) as soon as someone tells me what server's decided on.

Well, SOMEbody need to decide. Ah, to hell with it - lets go Liberty. Liberty it is! Everyone go play on liberty server.

So Flash, since you're the closest to 10th level, you want to head up the Guild of Super-DVDtalkers (or whatever we call ourselves). I think 10th level is the min requirement for starting a hall of justice.

Sure thing, I am going to play some tonight (and hopefully get to level 10). If not tonight, I will have level 10 by thursday.

So what should we call ourselves?

You guys have fun on Liberty. We can talk about the game here.

Couple of tips for you n00bs:

1)If you're a healer/nuker, in group, you can assist the tanks by just targeting them and then clicking your ranged/heals abilities.

2)If you CTRL-Click on an ability it will auto-fire.

More to come....

Haha, I am down with Original Aspect Ratio, or OAR for short.

The question is O.A.R. or the full title?

Liberty it is. I'll try and get myself to Level 10 tomorrow sometime.

I haven't played in a group yet though. Any tips on what I have to do? (Running to dinner... I'll be starting a character when I get back)

You just need level 10 to start a League of Justice, I believe.

As far as tips for grouping. There isn't much to it. It depends on what type of hero you are also. As for getting into a group, well thats the easy part. Just select the 'Team' menu and you can do 'seeking team' setting, that will let groups know your looking. Also doing a /broadcast giving your hero type and level helps.

Well, if we went with O.A.R. we might be mistaken for boating nuts. I'd go with the full, spelled out "Original Aspect Ratio" m'self.

As for the leauge slogan, how about . . . . "No OAR = no sale?"
