Hollywood: The Video Game?
 

i remember reading about 2 years ago that a company was working on a video game in which you are a movie producer and you must finance films and run a profitable studio (ala the sim franchise). i thought they said it was supposed to come out this fall but i have not heard anything else.

anybody else heard of this?

It's called The Movies by Lionhead Studios... it's coming out on all platforms and I believe it's coming sometime later this year... not too far away. You can read all about it at IGN and the usual game sites.

There's another game for the PC called Movie Studio Boss, but I don't think it's what you're looking for.

This is from the same guy who brought us Black and White, so expect it to do about 1% of what he claims it'll do.

There is a movie out at gamespot. I am downloading it now so i cant coment on fo it's any good

No doubt. Black and White was a game i was eagerly anticipating until i actually got it and it was the buggiest piece of software i have ever voluntarily installed on my computer. Ridiculously craptastic game..... and then the first patch was an enormous download for a patch (iirc).
