Very similar to what happened to Beyond Good & Evil. I shudder to think of the sales numbers it did to drop to this price so quickly. I guess that means no sequel. A shame, really. I consider Breakdown my favorite Xbox game released this year (haven't tried out Ninja Gaiden yet).

Great, I will be picking this one up. I was just thinking the other day how I would love to get it when the price drops.

edit: If anyone sees this on the 20th for $20, let us know. I might have to take a trip out during lunch.

Is the price drop everywhere or just target sale?

Hopefully it's a sale, then you could grab it at Best Buy for even cheaper

EDIT: Oops, I meant a price reduction....

Very disappointing. Breakdown is one of my favorite games so far this year, and I really hope it's just a sale for Target and not an official price drop, cause that probably means no sequel.

Must be just Target, since everyone is saying the price will go back up sometime in May.

I've seen similar temporary reductions at Target, nothing this drastic though.

I was just at Target (for something else) and meandered by the XBox display and they did indeed have it for $19.99

I never thought of buying this game, but after some of the posts here I might have to take another look with a price like that.

I really enjoyed breakdown. Though there are some really really long corridor crawls that can get boring, the story is good enough to keep you playing. Also, once you get about 1/2 way through, you get your powers, and then it's a ton more fun.

Man, $19...what a deal.

ok, wife just picked up a copy for me at Target -[STRIKE] i think the one in Plymouth Square Metroplex (but, not a 100% sure which one she went to).[/strike] i just asked her to take a look if she was going.

i will ask her if she remembers if they had more copies available.

update:

ok, found out that it was in the Target in Oaks, PA (near Audubon) off of 422 - had 8-10 more of them.

I just got back from the Daytona Beach Target. They had at least 5 copies in stock, and had a sign up displaying the price. Time to add it to my stack of unopened games.

Well, after playing the game for about an hour I must say, I love it. The whole style of it being a "first person action" game is great.

I do have some complaints about it. I think the models for the world look a little off, its like the size of your character versus objects seems weird. Your partners AI is absolutely horrible, I have never seen AI this bad, at least not in the last 2 or 3 years. I have seen her stand there, in plain view of a bad guy, getting shot and she does nothing!

But, other than those things, I am digging it so far. Definitely worth $20!

The developers may have tried to make up for Alex's AI by making her unkillable. She's extremely helpful when you have to go up against multiple enemies. She makes a great punching bag for them!

My Target had two left, and also had a sign that advertised a temporary price cut. The employee (looked like a manager) said that a temporary price cut typically lasts a month. So while it may not be a new every day price, at least it might last awhile.

I'm worried that once they are gone, Target won't get any more in. Just two more days until I can make it to Target...
