Any good networked console games?

Hi all,

I'm not sure how to phrase my question, so here goes - I was looking for games that support multiple players with multiple consoles. Not talking about gaming online, just getting people together in the same room, hooking the consoles together and gaming. As an example, I know Halo supports this kind of networking (as well as XBox live, which I'm not interested in) - are there any others? Could be for any console. Thanks in advance for replies.

Look for the Xbox system link thread. Wait a sec....

Lots of fun to be had w/ 2 Xboxes/TVs hooked up. Many of the games on that list can be linked thru a network for more than 2 systems at a time, but I'm not sure of specifics on that.

Thanks for the responses - did do a search but I guess I didn't hit the right terms... Am particularly interested in games that support 2 consoles/2 tv's...

Mario Kart and Kirby Air Ride support 2-4 consoles and TVs. 8 player Mario Kart (16 if you want to do the dumb 2 people control one kart thing.. I didn't like it). Kirby is still only 4 players no matter how many consoles you link.

Be careful about the PS2 network games, I think they run off the i-link cable and the new machines don't have them.. though some of the newer games could use the network adapter, I'm not sure.
