Are the Xbox HD AV Cables worth it?

Hey all, just got a 53" HD widescreen TV and have been looking at the Xbox HD AV cables. Do they improve the picture significantly, or is it just clever marketing?
Any information provided would be most appreciated.

absolutely YES!

I have a Sony 36"XBR400 (which isn't even WS, but still high def) and the image with component vs. Svid or even composite is no contest - component looks amazing.

Yeah... but I don't notice any difference in games that are 480p or i or whatever... the only games that seem to make a difference are 1080 or 720 or what have you... and there aren't a ton of those. However, some people might notice the difference or it might just be me. I'd say it's worth it though just for the games that you do notice it in. True Crime looks 1000x better in hi res.

Absolutely worth it! It'll make a big difference on a screen as large as yours.

Whenever you shell out cash for a HDTV, you should always get the required video cables to go with it for your DVD players and video game consoles. I think that's somewhere in the "HDTV owners bible" ;) Using standard composite wires on an HDTV is kind of like buying a Playstation 2 and just getting Playstation 1 video games for it. In other words, you wouldn't be using it to it's full potential.

Does anyone know the best place to get the HD cable? I saw this at Best Buy for $17.99:

I assume that I still need to get the Component video cables though?

Any ideas on the best pricing for the complete deal?

Thanks.
