Trading in games

How much $$ or credit do stores like EBGames & Gamespot typically give to games that are traded in?

I recently got a copy of Nninja Gaiden as a gift, and not to attract any flames, it's just not my kind of game.

Anyway, I was thinking of trading it in and maybe picking up a copy of a good baseball game (I'm hearing good things about MVP 2004, and MLB Slugfest due out on 6/7 looks good too), but I'd hate to get $20 for it when I can probably E-Bay it for more.

If it goes by condition of the game, there isn't a scratch on the disc, and I've played it several times, I just don't particulary care for it much.

Probably $8 in store credit for Ninja Gaiden.. if you're lucky.

I got $25 for Ninja Gaiden when I got rid of it at EB a couple of weeks ago.

Sell it on eBay, you'd probably get about $33+

It's been my experience that you would get about enough to afford the KY you'll need while there.

Not too long ago I was in a Gamestop picking up some e cards, and there was a couple with their kid in there trying to trade in a game at the value they bought it for. They somehow got the impression that they could trade in a game (at full value) just because the kid didn't like it. How would one even think that a store would ever consider doing that?

Your comment fit it perfectly.

I have no problem buying there, I've found quite a few good deals on games and DVD movies. I just know way better than to try and sell there.

They'll resell it used for $45.99 and somehow they manage to still move it that way.

Ugh.

thanks guys, I think I'll just E-Bay it. Even $25 is kinda low, in my eyes.

I'll give 25 for it and you won't have to pay ebay listing, commission, paypay fees etc.

The max EBgames gives for credit is $25, and that's usually for newly released games or popular games.
