Should i pre-order Doom III?
 

The price is 54.99 at most place and it seems too much to pay for it. Are anyone of you pre-ordering this game?

I'm gonna wait till it comes out and pay around 30 bucks for it at Best Buy, GoGamer or Fry's Electronics.

Is there even a release date yet? It will probably be pushed back a couple more times.

IMO there is no point to pre-ordering. That just locks you into a store, when you have no idea if they will have the best price. I don't think you will have a problem obtaining a copy, and probably at a cheaper price.

Expect a definite release date to be announced during E3.

And then expect it to be changed shortly after.

I never saw the point of pre-ordering anything unless you're doing it for some free stuff :)

Word going around our offices, and at anothers, is that it is actually very close to release now, and they are just waiting for E3.

I wonder if they changed the length of the game, I know about a year ago they were saying the single player game would take about 5 hours to complete.

Yeah, you guys are probably right. I guess those retailers are just cashing in on anxious gamers. Btw, are they coming out with a DVD version or CD's?

No reason to pre-order it. Release day will be huuuuuge with deals. Also best to wait on who's giving the best freebies away. the different stores were giving out different pewter figures a while back for a $5 deposit. But even that isn't worth the $5

technically they've alway said "when it's done", it's the retailers that have pushed back their 'guesstimated' dates over and over again.

Is this a pc only release?

It's supposed to come out for XBox, but that could be later on.
